This one’s close to home literally and musically. While at Liverpool’s Royal Albert Dock, I scanned the Paul McCartney statue using my Creality Otter 3D scanner. As one of the city’s most iconic figures, capturing him in 3D felt like a proper tribute to a living legend.
Once scanned, I brought the model into my Ender 3 V3 KE and 3D printed it, preserving the detail and character that makes McCartney instantly recognizable. To top it all off, I used the Falcon 2 22W laser to engrave a custom box with his name on it a slick finish to a unique project. Here’s the engraving in action.
This piece combines 3D scanning, printing, and laser engraving a proper mix of old-school inspiration and modern tech. Whether you're a Beatles fan, a 3D print enthusiast, or both, I hope this project hits the right note.
