I Scanned “A Case History” on Hope Street, Liverpool, using the Creality Otter. This is a large, complex sculpture with lots of smooth surfaces, so it’s a demanding scan. I did try the Otter Lite first, but for a piece of this scale the full Otter was simply the better tool and handled it perfectly from start to finish. with the massive size i did not think i would get this today but i did 🙂 and it looks great

Created by artist John King, the sculpture sits between Liverpool’s two cathedrals and tells the story of the city as a gateway to the world. Liverpool was one of the busiest ports on the planet. Millions passed through here.. Irish families escaping the Great Famine, Jewish communities fleeing persecution, sailors from across the globe, and generations leaving Britain to start new lives overseas. For many, Liverpool was the last sight of home. For others, it was the first step toward hope.

Each suitcase symbolises a life, a journey, and a choice. Capturing pieces like this in 3D isn’t just about the object.. it’s about preserving the stories carried with it.
