Today I scanned the Liverpool Heroes Memorial in Abercromby Square, a statue that honours Captain Noel Chavasse, one of the most decorated soldiers of WWI, and other Liverpool born Victoria Cross recipients. This one really tested me. It took just under an hour to get the scan finished. The bright sun and strong reflections made it a nightmare at times. Honestly, it almost got the better of me. But I stuck with it, adjusted my angles, and in the end I got the results I was after. The statue itself is incredibly moving. Chavasse, a medical officer, is shown helping a wounded soldier alongside a stretcher bearer from the Liverpool Scottish regiment. It’s a powerful tribute to courage, compassion and Liverpool’s wartime history.Proud to have captured it in 3D.#creality #creality3d
